After seven years the noble experiment is over. No more stand-alone server. Gone is the ballad of the blinking RAID array lights. It is once again safe to watch movies in the living room without having to contend with the roar of redundant fans.

In its place I'm now running a virtualized OS off my gaming workstation. It certainly has its nuances, but so far so good.
